Jurassic World invades Waterloo station
The much anticipated Jurassic World film released both excitement through commuters and Velociraptors throughout Waterloo station this week! The takeover includes the underground tunnel being completely wrapped in large scenes from the film along with animated digital 6 boards roaring at you as you pass. The jungle sounds filtering through the speakers quickly transport you from your Tuesday morning commute and into the jungle momentarily. A large shipping container accompanied by four Velociraptors can be found in the main area of the station, so of course… you should really stop and get a selfie with a dinosaur.
Have these various touches impacted the launch of the film? It is clearly a resounding yes with it having brought in $524.1 million across the world, making the latest Jurassic World film the highest earning global opening. Granted this may not be down to the recent Waterloo takeover alone, however it definitely caught my attention, I’m going to see it tonight.
