Green Credentials

The enviroment may not be uppermost in everyone's minds at this time of financial crisis, but perhaps it should. After all, money won't matter if there's no planet on which to make it or spend it.

Like everyone else, we in advertising are not without our responsibilities, and there are many ways in which we can make a difference. Indeed, many agencies have long been pursuing green polices. Bandwagons are inevitably being jumped upon, but many truly want to do their bit.

And it's not just about the enviroment. Using less electricity, turning off lights and computers, video conferencing rather than flying, and recycling all serve a threefold purpose: first, they go some way to reducing our carbon footprint, which is a good thing. Second, they help us save money, which is also a good thing. And third, they do much for a company's image, which also a good thing. Thrift pays.
