Firefox...Internet Explorer...Netscape...Safari...Google Chrome...Opera.
There's a flavour of web browser for everyone out there, some like the add-ons and themes you get with Firefox, some people prefer to enjoy their web experience through a more stripped down, clutter free browser like Safari. The choice is yours.
But recently another browser has come out on beta which offers something a little different. Blackbird - which at first glance looks just like a re-skinned Firefox, offers tailored content - geared primarily to the African American community. It includes a variety of tweaked tools that search
African American resources, news, and video sites, social bookmarking
and networking tools, webmail integration, and a charity content
channel called "Do Good" that connects users with African
American-focused organisations.
It's still early days and no-one knows as yet how well its doing, but it could well open the door for more tailor-made browsers in the future.
